Homecare Dimensions bought by Dallas firm
San Antonio Business Journal
The Phoenix Group Corp., a Dallas-based provider of home health care services, is expanding its reach into South Texas with the acquisition of Homecare Dimensions Inc. in San Antonio.
Terms of the purchase agreement were not disclosed. However, the former owners of Homecare Dimensions, Dr. George Rapier and Joe Williams, will take positions with The Phoenix Group. Williams will serve as executive vice president of business operations and president of Homecare Dimensions. Rapier's new position will be announced at a later date.
The Phoenix Group employs more than 950 professionals in 36 offices providing home health services to more than 6,500 people.
In addition to providing nursing services, Homecare Dimensions provides medical equipment, such as wheelchairs and oxygen concentrators, as well as pharmacy services. Ron Lusk, chairman of The Phoenix Group, says the addition of Homecare Dimensions will give his company additional sources of revenue.
"The ability to offer one-stop shopping to doctors and administrators could increase our referrals as well as increase the amount of revenue earned per patient," he says.
